Resources and Opportunities
"GWS at Bowdoin taught me how to ask the questions that lead to the reflecting, investigating, and acting necessary to fight for social justice."—Alison Driver '08
At Bowdoin
The Resource Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity is designed to provide support to Bowdoin's gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and straight populations. It is dedicated to educating the campus community about sexuality and gender identity and offers an array of educational brochures.
The Center for Sexuality, Women, and Gender Center cultivates a campus environment in which women and queer people feel safe, valued, and supported through academic, cocurricular, and personal development. It builds awareness surrounding issues of gender and sexuality existing on campus and in the world.
Beyond Bowdoin
Wondering what to do "when you grow up?" In addition to providing assistance with identifying and pursuing internships, volunteer opportunities, graduate and professional schools, and jobs, Career Exploration and Development can help you connect with alumni/ae who work to improve the status of and opportunities for women, who defy gender stereotypes, and who excel in a wide range of occupations.
